Founder
Stan Samborski, P.E.
Stan graduated from the University of Missouri in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He continued his engineering studies at the University of Missouri and graduated in 1976 with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Stan began his engineering career in 1976 working for a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm in Kansas City. In 1987 he started his own structural consulting business - STS Companies, P.C. In 2003 he incorporated the business under the name AIC Structural Consultants, Inc.
Stan has worked as the project structural engineer on a variety of projects ranging from large multi-unit coal fired power plants to small commercial structures. He has experience in both structural steel design and reinforced concrete design with a specialty area in structural dynamics.
Stan has been providing professional engineering services nationally for the last 35 years.

Cara Hoadley, P.E.
After serving in the United States Air Force for four years Cara graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University in 1996. Ms. Hoadley has been practicing structural engineering within the Kansas City area since graduation. She has gained experience by providing consulting services for clients in both commercial and industrial structures. Project types included office buildings, parking structures, community centers, big box retail, multi-plex theater buildings, various industrial facilities, and historical renovations of buildings. Her experience includes the use of various building system materials such as post-tension, cast-in-place and precast concrete, along with masonry, wood and steel.
Ms. Hoadley’s design and project management experience includes commercial and industrial structures with construction cost ranging from $100,000 to $320,000,000. Her experience includes super structures as well as deep and shallow foundations. She is experienced with multiple structural analysis software. Ms. Hoadley has been practicing structural engineering for over 17 years.
